The timber in your clock is Plantation Grown Mahogany which is sourced from ecologically sustainable forests in South East Asia. This industry provides a welcome income for the locals in these regions.The natural timber clocks feature an oil finish (I want the finish to be IN the timber, not ON the timber). This allows the timber to breathe and will require from time to time a freshen up with a good quality furniture wax or oil.Please keep your Tide Clock away from direct sunlight wherever possible to maintain the quality of your timber.Unfortunately, availability of some components, especially the hands, can be difficult so the clock you buy may look slightly different to those pictured.Please note that timber is a natural resource and I do not stain the timber in your clock, so natural variations in timber colour and grain will occur.My wife Christine and I (Peter) create interesting functional pieces for our Gallery and teach unique crafts in our workshops.I hope you enjoy using your tide clock as much as I enjoyed making it for you. Create a traditional Jacob’s Ladder using timber and ribbons … then amaze your friends!.
Start with a tanned leather wristband or bookmark and create your own stamped pattern.
You will learn basic spindle and faceplate turning techniques shaping sanding and finishing. You will make a bowl in this workshop.

NOTE: Classes can be structured for experienced turners.
Take 5 x SRA3 sheets and create amazing colours and patterns resembling unusual Marble – used to cover books or boxes. Suitable for most ages.
Decorate and assemble one Tyvek (tear resistant) Diamond sail Kite. Then take it out to the front paddock to fly it!
Bring an A4 size picture – You will mount it on plywood & cut out the unique puzzle on a scroll saw. You also make a framed base to hold your puzzle.
Take three or four sticks and some yarn and Christine will teach you how to weave in your hands.

This first PMC class is designed to introduce you to the material and how to manipulate it. You will make a slab pendant.
Maximum 4 people per class
These classes assume previous experience with Silver Clay (our Beginners Class or other experience).
Project based using the syringe creating a ring hollow form jewellery pieces or creating mounts to hold precious stones etc.
Materials are not included in the $75 as we do not know what you would like to do.
You will make a small platter from clear float glass. You will be taught to cut glass, design your platter and make a small mould to suit. Your piece will be fired overnight and be available for pick up the next day.
You will be using coloured glass (including dichroic) to make small pieces (eg jewellery pendant) You will learn to cut and grind glass, the basics of fusing and kiln firing. Your pieces will be fired overnight and be available for pick up the next day.

A fun session discovering how to use fabric paints! By the end of the class you will create your own silk scarf.
